How does pay-what-you-want work?
Every product has a minimum price. You can pay the minimum, the suggested price, or more if you would like to further support the author. All purchases include lifetime access to the content, along with any future updates at no additional cost.
What do I get when I buy a book?
You receive a downloadable PDF, accessible from your dashboard at any time. Depending on the book, EPUB download and online reading may also be available. As the book is updated, the latest versions are added to your account, so you always have access to the most current edition. No DRM, just your personal copy.
How are video courses delivered?
Courses are delivered through YouTube videos embedded within your dashboard. You need an account to access the content, and once purchased, you keep lifetime access, including any newly added or updated lessons.
Do I need an account to buy?
Yes. Purchases are attached to your OpenGeoPub account so you can access downloads, courses, order history, reviews, and certificates from your dashboard.
Do I keep access after purchase?
Yes. Purchases include lifetime dashboard access to the content you bought, including future updates that the author publishes on OpenGeoPub.
Can I read books online?
Some books include an online reader in addition to PDF download. Online reading and EPUB availability depend on the specific book.
Are book files DRM-free?
Book downloads are DRM-free. Purchased PDFs may be personalized or watermarked with license information for ownership tracking.
What happens if I buy a bundle?
A bundle unlocks the included books and courses in your dashboard. If you already own one of the included products, your existing access remains unchanged.
Can I use a coupon code?
Yes. If a coupon is available for a product, enter it on the product page before checkout. Some shared coupon links apply the code automatically.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe Checkout. Available payment methods depend on what Stripe supports and what is enabled for OpenGeoPub.
How do course certificates work?
Some courses offer certificates. When certificates are enabled, you receive one after meeting the course completion requirements, such as finishing lessons, passing assignments, or manual instructor approval.
How do I publish my own content?
Please contact us at contact@opengeopub.com to discuss publishing your own content. Once approved, you can use the creator dashboard to manage books, courses, sales, messages, and payout details. New or updated products may be reviewed before publication.
How much do authors earn?
Authors earn up to 85% royalties when they publish their books and online courses on OpenGeoPub. Royalties are paid monthly through Wise.com.
Can I update my Wise payout details?
Yes. Creators can update their Wise tag and payout email from the creator dashboard. Keep these details current so monthly royalty payouts can be sent correctly.
Can I get a refund?
We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, email contact@opengeopub.com and include your order number.
Please note that refunds are only available for purchases made through the OpenGeoPub platform. If you purchased from a third-party platform, please contact them directly for refund inquiries.
